Zach was always getting in something but, usually the hardest part of discipling him was not to laugh while you were doing it!

In 1993, We moved from Houston to Magnolia. Magnolia is when he really used to pull some of his regular stunts like balmexing under my table while we looked for him for half an hour in panic, he drew on my walls, painted his poop all over the bedspread, walls, and rug, markered my walls and couch and managed to even grease the cat's hole one day. He was definitely the most unique child one could have ever know.

In 1996, Then up to Huntsville we went he was 3 1/2 so I could attend Sam Houston University and Zach attended Bear Kitten Academy, he was called the kisser and hugger. Everyday he had to kiss and hug all the teachers and the other children goodbye. It was also here in Huntsville that he became so proficient at riding his "oot!" He constructed elaborate tracks to ride over the ravines, he really enjoyed himself.

In June of '97 We moved to Bay Shore, New York when zach was about 4 1/2 and he entertained us all as usual with his daily "zachisms." He even got his own nickname by his uncle "Z-MAN"

In 1999, I married my husband Bobby. He and Zachie became best buds. He used to take him to the job sites with him and he got to do more than anyother little boy you've ever known. He got to actually drive a train from Ronkonkoma to Montauk in LI, drive a front end payloader, drive a car, fly in planes, help build and fix things and so much more. He was just getting ready to teach Bobby how to ride his new Yamaha 125, too. |

In the summer of 1999, Zach Brandy and Lee moved back to Texas at my request. I felt it would be a better environment than what they were being exposed to in LI. Zach enjoyed being back in the country he was always a woods kinda kid! By this time, he was playing sports, baseball and basketball and just really enjoying his life as a happy little guy.

November 08, 2004 Our most precious son, brother, grandson,nephew, cousin and friend died and went to live happily for all eternity in Our Father's Kingdom, with His Son Jesus Christ. Days just before Zachie died he told his dad that he felt he was ready to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior to the delight of all our hearts. Zach was trying to change his life and make positive changes and I truly believe he finally understood that nothing was possible without God's Blessings. Zachary was very fortunate, he died very painlessly and victoriously in his own light, he won the race that day in every sense of the word, he beat us to heaven and he took that checkered flag! He died doing what had become his hearts desire and he was working hard at becoming one of the best riders out there. They have a motto "Gas On - Fear Off" and he gave it his all. He was laid to rest at Kleins Cemetary on 249 in Tomball underneath a beautiful pine tree, which for Zachie was great because the sun always bothered his eyes! I grieve for my son and I miss his earthly comfort but, I keep remembering in my heart that the Lord promises I will see him again. I think that is the only thing that keeps me going. Peace and Love to you all and please keep Zach in your prayers. |

My Dearest Son,
You have made it to heaven! I am sorry I cannot feel what you feel and I hope and pray you cannot feel what I feel. I know that I will see you again but, in the meantime, I miss you so much and feel so lost. I pray to Our Father and His Son that when we reunite all the distance will be forgotten and we will only remember each other's smiles and love.

Good Afternoon Everyone. We'd like to thank all of you for coming today as well as thank Dwight and Cindy for this wonderful opportunity to celebrate Zach's Life.
I'd like to say a word or two here so if you would please indulge me a moment, I'll try not to bore you too much...
6 months ago, if you would have asked me how we were doing I would have said "busy, busy, busy, fixing up our home or chasing our 2 year old round and round..."
Or, watching Zachie with my heart in my throat coming down the mountainside standing on his footpegs with his helmet up practicing tricks.
6 months ago, I never would have imagined that I would be standing up here, giving a Memorial Speech for my 11 year old son.
How profound. We aren't supposed to bury our children, it's just not the natural progression of life. But, here we are 6 months later and still so much all the richer and blessed for having had this wonderful little boy in our lives.
Yes, at times, I would have given him away in a heartbeat. He could definitely be a thorn in your side at one moment, but, the most extreme of pleasures the next!
If i've learned one thing from Zach, it's never ever forget to say "I love you" or "i'm sorry" when we have the chance to the ones we love, especially our children.
Our children are the most precious of gifts from the good Lord above and never to be let down. We, are all they have here on this Earth. They depend on us to be there for them.
So, If I may make this request, I would like each and every one of you parents out there to reach out and hug your children today and remind them how much you love them for yourselves and for them as well.
We don't know what will happen day to day, so please never miss that golden opportunity you have with them now.
Well, it's a beautiful day out here at Hilltop. The sun is shining, we're all here to have a good time, to see some talent, and congratulate the winners.
The riders will be starting with a Memorial Lap, so, if you'll join us with some warm memories......
